Artwork's Services

Due to the current situation and government guidelines relating to the Covid virus, I have adapted my workshops as follows. All workshops will take place in my very well ventilated marquee, situated near my studio on Stonepitts Farm. Tables will be spaced individually at safe distance. Children attending with siblings may share a table as normal. There will be 10 tables, numbers attending may be higher than 10 but no more than 10 families. Children will have their temperature taken on arrival and will not be permitted to stay if they have a high temperature.

All classes will have a second adult present and children needing a toilet break will be supervised by an adult to ensure safe practice [the toilets at Stonepitts are not for our exclusive use but will be wiped down before each use]. There will be other precautions in place and you are welcome to ask for a full description.

Adult Pottery Classes

Adult pottery classes are suitable for the complete beginner to the experienced artist. Students are given the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques in hand-building, enabling them to produce their own designs to a high standard. Lessons are not structured: students work at their own pace on a project of their own choice, asking for assistance and technical demonstrations when necessary. The small group size means that each student receives as much one to one assistance as required.

Clay lizard sculpture

“A very pleasant informal class that gives you a good practical introduction into the art of pottery. Thereafter anything is possible!” Jill Shaw, adult potter.

Adult pottery is on Mondays and Tuesday 12.30-3pm and Wednesday 6.30-9pm.
